The build begins

once the cage had been delivered from mark fish motorsport, it was all hands on deck to get the car ready. the safety devices cage is really a great bit of kit with a comprehensive weld in foot pack making the job relatively easy!

cage in for test fit:

Then it was back out and off to the powdercoaters for a colour change.

Whilst the cage was away we took the opportunity to shed a little weight and clean up the inside of the car. Unwanted brackets were painstakingly removed, spot weld by spot weld.... only to find Renault had also glued some of them on too!!

Sound deadening panels removed from boot floor and roof.

Then prep for paint, from this:

To this!

ok...... so I got a little ahead of myself.... lets go back a few steps

While the car was completely apart inside we fitted an few other goodies and cast our eye over the wiring and dashboard. the original heater matrix was binned and a small t7 designs heater fitted in its place plumbed unto the original vents, any excess plastic was removed from the underside of the dash and the rear loom/dash wiring slimmed down removing any unwanted wiring, every little helps!

This was also followed by a r3 airbox, toyosport manifold, pure motorsport carbon doorcards, cup racer style carbon roof scoop, and a r sport quick release steering boss

followed by a finishing visual touch and the car was ready for a seasons sprinting!
